Phillipsburg rodeo recognized for excellent arena conditions

For the second consecutive year, and the third time in six years, Kansas Biggest Rodeo has won the Women’s Pro Rodeo Association Justin Best Footing Award for the Prairie Circuit. The award is given to the rodeos that “have gone above and beyond… to ensure safe ground for the animal athletes of rodeo, specifically the barrel racing horses,” quoted the WPRA news release.

The publication, Rangeland and Pasture Grasses of Kansas C567, was written by Dr. Walt Fick, professor and extension specialist in range management in the Department of Agronomy at Kansas State.
