Titans visit Chiefs in early matchup of playoff contenders

The Titans and Chiefs meet Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium in a showdown of 5-2 division leaders in the thick of the AFC playoff race. Tennessee is coming off a 17-10 win over Houston in which Derrick Henry ran for 219 yards and two TDs, while the Chiefs had the week off after a 44-23 rout of San Francisco. The Titans have won five of the past six in the series, including a wild-card playoff game, though the one win by Kansas City came in the AFC championship game in the 2019 season. Chiefs coach Andy Reid is 20-3 when his teams are coming off a bye.

Follow-up colonoscopy necessary after a result of eight polyps

DEAR DR. ROACH: I am a 73-year-old male. This year, I had a colonoscopy. They found some small polyps and one larger polyp. All polyps tested negative for cancer. I have had two previous colonoscopies in the past 10 years. Polyps were found in each one. My gastroenterologist said I should have another colonoscopy in one year. There has been no colon cancer in my family.

Golf tournament raises funds for DSNWK group home

Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas is pleased to announce that the Esther McMurtrie Memorial Golf Tournament raised over $11,800. The 4 person scramble tournament was held on Friday, September 30th at the Ellis Golf Club. Proceeds are being used for kitchen renovation at one of DSNWK’s group homes in Hays. DSNWK would like to thank the many participants, contributors and supporters who made the event a success.

Women’s Basketball Opens Season Ranked in Top 10 Nationally

The Fort Hays State women’s basketball team enters the 2022-23 season ranked in the top 10 in both national polls, released Tuesday by both the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and the NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA). The Tigers will open the new year ranked third in the coaches poll and ninth in the media poll.
