Fort Hays State head track and field/cross country coach Dr. Jason McCullough has announced the promotion of Kelly Meyer to full-time assistant track and field coach beginning with the 2024-25 season.
The Extension Master Gardener (EMG) Program is an educational volunteer training program sponsored by K-State Research and Extension. This program was started at Washington State University in 1972. There are now EMG programs in all 50 states. K-State Research and Extension started their EMG program in 1980. Through this program, individuals are trained and certified in horticulture and related areas. These individuals, in turn, volunteer their expertise and services to help others through horticulture projects that benefit the community.
Hays City Commissioners devoted roughly one-third of their one hour and twelve minute July 18, 2024 Work Session meeting to a discussion of the City’s Draft 2025 Budget. The first half of the conversation focused on the City’s funding to Outside Agencies. To facilitate the Commission’s discussion, Deputy City Manager Collin Bielser presented six years of Outside Agency Budget funding (2019-2024) as well as the 2025 budget requests under consideration.
The question “Shall Ellis County, Kansas establish and maintain a county library?” is on the August 6th primary ballot. On March 19, 2024, the Ellis County Commission approved Resolution No. R-2024-05. This resolution placed the question on the ballot for consideration by voters of Ellis County. The question will be voted on by registered voters in the City of Victoria and unincorporated areas of Ellis County. The two existing public libraries, Ellis Public Library and Hays Public Library, will continue to be supported by their respective municipalities.
Why was Jesus so insistent upon His being baptized? Jesus is God and He never sinned. He always was, is and always will be completely in line with the will of the Father and doesn’t need cleansing. So, why do it? If we look to Scripture, we can find our answer.
