Fort Hays State pre-med students explore options at Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine

On a cold Tuesday morning in late January, a van full of freshman pre-med students and several professors from Fort Hays State University made the nearly three-hour journey to Wichita for a much-anticipated campus visit to the Kansas Health Science Center – Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (KHSC – KansasCOM). Eligible for the new admissions partnership agreement between FHSU and KHSC – KansasCOM, a program designed to help address Kansas’ physician shortage, these students were able to get an in-depth look at what the KHSC – KansasCOM campus had to offer.

2025 Ellis County Employee Service Awards

The Ellis County Commission utilized their time during the February 11 meeting to recognize and congratulate the 29 Annual Employee Service Award recipients, as well as the six employees recognized by the Association of Counties (KAC) for their service to Ellis County. Employees received their awards from County Administrator Darin Myers as they were presented to the Commission by Ellis County Human Resource Coordinator Jennifer Taylor.
