Officials at RPM Speedway in Hays tried to get the dirt track ironed in Saturday morning to get Fall Nationals VIII, the signature event of the track, rolling.
But due to the wet and muddy conditions, the track was not able to be rolled in, forcing officials to cancel Saturday's races.
Races were set to begin Thursday night with sport compacts and cruisers, as well as a test-and-tune session for the other four main classes — modifieds, stocks, hobby stocks and Northern sport mods.
Rain forced the cancellation of that night's events, as well as Friday's races as well.
RPM had hoped to get the races in Saturday, beginning earlier in the day at 2 p.m. But the track continued to be too wet and muddy to host the event.
