Seth Scott Louder, 82, Russell, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, at his home.
He was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Lincoln to Thomas Jefferson and Stella (Peckham) Louder. He grew up in Lincoln and Burr Oak and graduated from Burr Oak High School in 1950. After high school he attended Fort Hays State University. In 1952, he joined the U.S. Navy and served until 1956.
He married Bonnie Faye Clark on June 20, 1957, in Ord, Neb. He worked for many years with the city of Russell and retired from the Russell Power Plant. He also worked in the oilfields and for Abco Wire, Farley Machine Shop, George Richard's Machine Shop and Bishop Machine Shop.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Patrick Louder, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Michael Louder, Russell; two daughters, Tanya LaMastus, Roxbury, and Phyllis Voldrich, Wichita; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell; burial in Russell City Cemetery, with military rites by Russell VFW Post No. 6240 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary, with family present to greet guests from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to Shriner's Children's Hospital in care of the mortuary.
