HESSTON -- The Hesston College community celebrated the academic accomplishments of 160 graduates during commencement May 5.

The registrar's office also announced the names of full-time students whose fall semester grades earned them a place on the Dean's List (3.9 to 4.0) and Honor Roll (3.5 to 3.89).

Taylor Ermoian, Hays, received an associate of arts degree and was named to the Dean's List. A member of the tennis team, Ermoian also received the National Junior College Athletic Association Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement, which is given to sophomores who earn a 3.6 to 3.79 GPA. He also was recognized as a recipient of the Hesston College Social Science Excellence Award during the end of the year Larkfest awards ceremony. He is the son of Mark and Cheryl Herman and Kyle and Debbie Ermoian, all of Hays.

Whitney Hickert, Hays, received an associate of applied arts and sciences degree in nursing. Hickert is the daughter of Kevin and Sondra Hickert, Hays.

Located 30 miles north of Wichita, Hesston College is the two-year liberal arts college of Mennonite Church USA.
