RUSSELL — The Black Gold Pheasants Forever chapter in Russell is planning its 10th annual fall shoot Sunday at LaSada Sporting Clays and Hunting Service.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. LaSada is located 6 miles south of Russell.
Open to members and nonmembers, the proceeds from the shoot will go to support youth activities, local scholarships and the Black Gold Pheasants Forever youth outreach trailer.
Activities start with a Lewis Class sporting clays shoot at 9 a.m., with the last squad out by 3 p.m. There is a $50 fee to enter, with $10 of the entry fee going back to the Lewis Class purse. Participants can shoot as much as they want. Cash prizes will be awarded, and a youth-model shotgun will be awarded.
Also available will be individual instruction on shooting basics with two certified classes limited to five students at 9 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. Call Herb Reid at (703) 217-0073 to register.
