WaKEENEY -- An original production of "Martin: A Life of Martin Luther" will be presented at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at WaKeeney's Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Allan Lemke, in the role of Martin Luther, will recount Luther's life and include a retelling of the gospel. This performance has been seen in churches from coast to coast for more than 12 years.
Lemke is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in dramatic art. He has directed a range of plays, from Shakespearean to modern.
The performance will last about one hour and 10 minutes with a free-will offering.

Baked goods, arts and crafts and home decor items will be available for purchase at the Hays After 5 Country Fair and Auction from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Bakery Shop, 230 E. Eighth.
Roger Kisner will serve as the auctioneer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Stonecroft Ministries of Kansas City, Mo. Stonecroft is a non-denominational international Christian organization.
Individuals can bring auction items to the restaurant between 4 and 6 p.m. Other suggested auction items include canned goods, prepared mixes and garden fruits and vegetables.
Also on the program is Phyllis Hedstrom of Concordia, who will give a speech entitled "Traumatic Incidents Create Tremendous Changes." Hedstrom will share how she was able to cope with her 5-year-old son's stroke and her unexpected divorce.
