The Fort Hays State men's golf team finished fifth Tuesday at the two-day Kansas Wesleyan Invitational at Salina Municipal Golf Course in Salina. The Tigers finished with a team score of 587 with sounds of 294 and 293, the lowest scores of the season for the Tigers.

Barton Community College won the tournament with a team score of 551 and had the top two finishers. Fort Hays was just two strokes back in second place before being overtaken by Bethany College, while Kansas Wesleyan and Sterling tied for fourth at 586.

Junior Landon Fox shot an even-par 70 on Tuesday after his 71 in the opening round. Junior Lane Pauls shot rounds of 58 and 73, tieing the pair in sixth place. Junior Koby Beougher shot tounds of 78 and 75 to tie for 27th while freshman Cash Hobson (78, 76) and sophomore Kade Megaffin (76, 78) tied for 29th.

The Tigers conclude their fall season Oct. 12-13 at the Missouri Western Invitational in St. Joseph, Mo.
