Ronald Roy Sanders, 87, Medicine Lodge, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his home.
He was born Aug. 15, 1928, in Protection to Clemie Clifford and May Pricilla (Ferguson) Sanders. He was a 1946 graduate of Protection High School.
He married Dorothy Pearson on Feb. 12, 1950, in Protection. He was employed by Northern Natural Gas Company and lived in Protection, Greensburg and Medicine Lodge.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Greensburg, and the Greensburg Gun Club.
He enjoyed helping others and was active in volunteering with Meals-On-Wheels and drove the Senior Citizens bus in Medicine Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Stan Sanders, Pearl City, Hawaii; a daughter, Rhonda Eberle, Hays; a brother, Bill Sanders, Protection; three grandchildren, Jason Eberle, Matt Eberle and Toni Caraway, a great-grandson, Saylor Caraway; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Del Eberle; a brother, Leon Sanders; and a sister, Linda Harden.
Services were Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Greensburg; burial in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church, Greensburg, or First Baptist Church, Medicine Lodge, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg.
