Jim Marvin, 80, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, in Wichita.

He was a retired operator for the Hays Water Softening plant.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, of 53 years, Mary Jean; a son, Paul Marvin and wife, Sarah; a brother, Dale Marvin and wife, Joyde; a brother-in-law, Norbert Schmeidler and wife, Sharon; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Woods and husband, Michael, and Karen DaSilva and husband, Marcelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nina; a brother, Don Marvin; and a sister, June Cleveland.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Wichita.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
