The Hays High School volleyball team needed just seven sets to pick up three victories in the Pratt quadrangular Tuesday.

Christin Nunnery’s squad opened the day with a 25-16, 28-26 victory over Ulysses. Kylie Brown and Tessa Stickel finished the match with seven and six kills, respectively, while Taylor Groen-Younger and Madison Prough recorded 10 and 9 assists. Albany Schaffer led the team with 13 digs.

The second match also finished as a two-set sweep, 25-17, 25-12 over Pratt. Stickel and Brown combined for 20 kills, while Groen-Younger and Prough split 22 assists.

The Indians needed three sets to top Garden City in the final match. Hays High started with a 25-17 win before dropping the second 20-25. A 25-19 victory in the third set gave the Indians a perfect 8-0 record.

Brown tallied nine kills in the final match, and Schaffer finished with 19 digs.

Hays High returns to action Sept. 26 in Newton.
