Bradley Evan Yost, 48, Wichita, died Monday, June 13, 2016, in Wichita.

He was born Aug. 26,1967, in Santa Maria, Calif., to Richard and Carolyn (Brungardt) Yost. He was a 1985 graduate of Gorham High School, attended Fort Hays Sate University, and received his licensed practical nurse degree from Barton County Community College.

He married Carrie (Flax) in 2001. He was caring for the elderly in assisted living and nursing home facilities. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the military as a medical specialist from 1990 until he was honorably discharged in 1996.

He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He enjoyed cooking, gardening and the outdoors.

Survivors include two sons, Chandler Yost and Dakota Yost, both of Plainville; his father, Richard Yost and wife, Joanne, Hays; two brothers, Jeff Yost and Greg Yost and wife, Candace, all of Hays; a sister, Niki Rohr and husband, Scott, Gardner; three nephews, Braden Dreiling, Bryson Rohr and Preston Rohr; four nieces, Savannah Yost, Kassidi Yost, Shyanne Yost and Jaden Rohr; his step-father, Ed Garrison, Salina; three step-sisters, Debbie Trevett and son, Tucker Trevett, both of Wichita, Kim Crough and daughter, Kristonna Kramer, and son, Konner Kramer, all of Salina, Jodi Steltz and daughter, Meghan Moland (Andrew), and son, Logan, all of Hays.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn (Brungardt) Garrison; and his grandparents, Alois and Florence Yost, and Nick and Helen Brungardt.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gorham; inurnment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gorham with military honors by the Russell Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6240.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd, Hays, KS 67601 and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

A vigil/rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund, Gorham in care of the mortuary.
