So, the city has faced the fact that “City: Spending rate is unsustainable.” Too bad that conclusion hadn’t been reached prior to the great bike lane debacle.

Did our city conduct any sort of a potential usage survey prior to approving that project? Who sold our representatives on the idea that our city needed to spend a million dollars on bike lanes that almost no one utilizes?

I understand the city will also incur substantial yearly expenses maintaining the bike lanes. A byproduct of the painted lanes causes opposing motor vehicles to pass much closer to each other than before, thus presenting a much more unsafe driving experience than previously existed.
