PLAINVILLE — Two people from Plainville were injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday at approximately 8:45 p.m. in Rooks County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Report, a 2004 Subaru Forester driven by Kenneth Scott Starnes, 29, Plainville, was traveling west on Kansas Highway 18 approximately 8.7 miles east of U.S. Highway 183. The vehicle swerved to miss a deer in the roadway and entered the north ditch. The vehicle continued in the ditch, struck a culvert and rolled several times. The Subaru came to rest on the roof facing east.
Starnes and his passenger, Vanessa Lyn Moore, 29, Plainville, were transported to Rooks County Health Center.
According to the report, Moore was wearing her seatbelt, while Starnes was not.
