John Franklin Luding, 79, Russell, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Papillion Manor Rehabilitation Center, Papillion, Neb.
He was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Florence to Harold F. and Dorothy D. (Rosiere) Luding. He was a 1954 graduate of Augusta High School and attended Emporia State University where he obtained a bachelorís degree in business in 1960.
He married Judy Dooley on May 16, 1964, in Russell. He was a pipeline technician at KAW Pipeline for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, of the home; a son, David Luding, LaVista, Neb.; a daughter, Kris Harris, Ness City; a brother, Joseph Luding, Middleburg, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church; burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Russell.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.
A vigil/rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Maryís Helping Hand Fund in care of the mortuary.
