DODGE CITY The Hays High boys' golf team came up two strokes short of a team title at Monday's Great Bend Invitational at Stoneridge Country Club.

Hays High finished with a team score of 322, just behind Garden City's total of 320 to top the eight-team field.

Sion Audrain (71) and Taylor Larsen (76) each earned top-three finishes for champion Garden City. Senior Payton Ruder (77) paced the Indians at 6-over par to earn a fifth-place finish while Trey McCrae (80) and Josh Norris (82) earned seventh and 10th, respectively.

Allen Zollinger rounded on the team scoring with a round of 83. Peyton Kieffer (84), Justin McCullick (90) and Brent Koenigsman (92) did not figure into the team scoring.
