Friday evening’s storm caused an accident on Interstate 70 that injured an Oklahoma truck driver.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the wind lifted the empty trailer pulled by an eastbound 2014 Freightliner a mile west of the U.S. Highway 183 junction on I-70.
The trailer was blown toward the cab, causing the vehicle to roll. It slid down the highway about 100 yards and came to rest on the passenger side.
The driver, Jeffrey Paul Cosby, 55, Oklahoma City, was taken to Hays Medical Center. He was wearing a safety restraint.
