KANSAS CITY -- Win and advance.

Joey Logano held off Kyle Larson to win Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway and became the first driver to advance to Round 3 of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

"We like him to play offense. He played offense all day today," said Logano's crew chief, Todd Gordon.

Kyle Busch finished third, Martin Truex Jr. was fourth and Carl Edwards was fifth.

With two races left in Round 2, Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson are the four Chase drivers lowest in points and in danger of being the next four eliminated from title contention.

As he did a week ago, Kevin Harvick took command of the race early, leading the first 43 laps before Jamie McMurray ran him down to move out front on Lap 44.

On Lap 45, teams began a round of green-flag pit stops. Once the cycle was completed on Lap 50, McMurray remained out front followed by Harvick and Earnhardt.

Debris on the track brought out the first caution on Lap 72. McMurray was the first off pit road and remained in the lead on the restart on Lap 76 followed by Harvick and Earnhardt.

Earnhardt moved out to the lead for the first time on Lap 76.

Kurt Busch slammed the wall on Lap 79 which brought out the second caution of the race. On the restart on Lap 84, Earnhardt remained in the lead.

Two laps later, Greg Biffle got loose and slammed into Johnson, in an incident which ended up collecting five cars. Johnson was forced to the garage for extensive repairs. On the restart on Lap 91, Earnhardt led the way followed by Harvick and Kahne.

On Lap 122, Earnhardt's right-front tire went flat and he hit the wall to bring out the fourth caution of the race. He also went immediately to the garage for repairs.

During pit stops, Kyle Busch was penalized for speeding on pit road and Gordon was penalized for having an uncontrolled tire on pit road.

On the restart on Lap 128, Logano led the way followed by Harvick and Larson.

Harvick and Logano swapped the lead before Logano took command again on Lap 136.

Keselowski, while running in fifth, slammed the wall with a right-front tire problem on Lap 161, which brought out the fifth caution of the race. On the restart on Lap 165, Kahne took over the race lead.

After the restart, Harvick and Logano battled for the lead with Logano coming out on top on Lap 169.

Joey Gase wrecked on Lap 190 to bring out the sixth caution of the race. During pit stops, McMurray was penalized for speeding on pit road.

On the restart on Lap 196, Harvick took over the lead followed by Larson and Logano.

Logano moved back into the lead on Lap 198.

Harvick pit under green on Lap 215 with what he thought was a tire issue but his team found no issues with the tires. He returned to the track one lap down.

Biffle hit the wall on Lap 231 to bring out caution No. 7. Newman was the first car off pit road and took over the lead on the restart on Lap 235, followed by Kyle Busch and Hamlin.
