WICHITA -- Bob Dole, former U.S. senator, plans to visit Kansas again, this time in the northwest quadrant of the state, his Washington office said this week.

Now 90, the former GOP presidential candidate has made two previous trips to his home state this year, including one to Wichita earlier this month.

"I'm looking forward to returning to Kansas for the third time this spring," Dole said in a statement. "I hope to see friends and former supporters of mine, and I am looking forward to enjoying some brownies along the way."

His Washington office said his schedule this time includes the following times and locations, all events open to the public and free:


Goodland -- On the Bricks, 1530 Main St.; 10 to 11 a.m.

Sharon Springs -- venue to be announced; noon to 1 p.m.

Oakley -- Buffalo Bill Cultural Center, 3083 U.S. Highway 83; 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.

Colby -- Colby Community College Student Union, 1255 S. Range; 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Hoxie -- Hoxie Courthouse, 925 Ninth St.; 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.

Quinter -- Quinter Public Library, 411 Main; 7 to 8 p.m.
