Mildred M. Littler, 95, La Crosse, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, La Crosse.

She was born Sept. 2, 1920, in rural Ness County to George and Marie (Jedlicka) Seuser. She was a lifelong resident of Ness and Rush counties and a 1939 graduate of Bison High School.

She married Melvin F. Littler on April 19, 1942, in Hays. He preceded her in death June 24, 2011. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, La Crosse.

Survivors include a son, Frank Littler and wife, Elaine, McCracken; two daughters, Carol Herdman and husband, Terry, Blacksburg, Va., and Pat Miller and husband, Terry, La Crosse; a brother, George Seuser Jr., Marquette; seven grandchildren, Scott Littler, Brenda Rosenlund, Kirk Herdman, Darwin Herdman, Kimbra Melton, Leanne Miller, and Deanna Stevens-Heier; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William “Bill” Seuser; and a sister, Marguerite Albers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, La Crosse; burial in McCracken City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse and from 1 to 1:50 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Activity Fund, La Crosse, or the United Methodist Church, La Crosse, in care of the funeral home.
