Brittney Hertel and Chad Lorson were married April 10, 2010, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, with Father Mike Scully officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jeff and Shari Hertel, Victoria, and Phillip and Debra Lorson, Hope.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Honor attendant was Kelly Coup, sister of the groom. Attendants were Kerry Ditto, sister of the groom, Melinda Reitcheck, cousin of the groom, Jasmin Blum, friend of the bride, and Mary Takaishi, friend of the couple.
Best man was Phillip Lorson, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Paul Stackley, Dean Urban and Michael Davis, friends of the couple, and Nicholas Sutcliffe, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Robert Lorson, cousin of the groom, Doug Stroda, friend of the couple, and Darren Ditto and Justin Coup, brothers-in-law of the groom.
Candlelighters were Tatum Ditto, niece of the groom, and Daniel Hertel, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Reagan Ditto, niece of the groom. Ringbearers were Spencer Coup and Breken Coup, nephews of the groom.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Victoria High School. She is a full-time college student enrolled in the nursing program at Manhattan Technical College.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Hope High School and a 2002 graduate at Barton County Community College with a degree in agribusiness. He is co-owner of Lorson Electric and Circle L Farms, and captain of the volunteer fire department in Hope.
Following a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the newlyweds are at home in Hope.
