Hays High sophomore Emilee Pfannenstiel earned a fair of top-four finishes as the Indians' girls' swimming team competed at the Salina South Invite on Wednesday.
Pfannenstiel placed third in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1 minute, 14.28 seconds. Her time of 28.43 seconds in the 50-meter freestyle race earned a fourth-place finish.
Sophomore Kyra Polifka-Wilhelm cranked out a top-five finish in the 500 free with a time of 7:17.74. The pair, joined by juniors Lakin Ditter and Sierra Eichman, earned a seventh-place finish in the 200 medley relay, as well.
The Indians return to the pool April 7 for a meet at Topeka High.
