Special to The Hays Daily News

The July Senior Social was a lot of fun. We gathered to play lawn chair bingo in the shade on the senior activity area lawn at the Center for Health Improvement.

Harry Watts played a higher/lower game before bingo started. He had purchased 20 items, taking each one from his shopping bag, asking the group if each item was worth a dollar, with the answer higher, lower or OK.

He got us to thinking and using our minds and created laughter.

The iced watermelon chunks and cold drinks for refreshment really hit the spot.

Our Senior Socials are planned for the third Thursday each month. Mark your calendar -- the August Senior Social will be Aug. 20 with movie night. A movie from the past will be shown for our enjoyment with popcorn to snack on.

We hope you can make it from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 20 in the education room at the Center for Health Improvement. Everyone is welcome to this free night out.

Jim and Opal Flinn, Ellis, are members of the Generations Advisory Group.
