Pauline M. (Debes) Oberle, 74, Bushton, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.
She was born May 29, 1942, in Great Bend to John and Helen (Huslig) Debes. She was a 1960 graduate of Odin High School.
She married James J. Oberle on June 4, 1966, in Odin. She was a longtime resident of the Claflin and Bushton areas. She was a homemaker. She worked alongside Jim as his secretary at Jimís Welding and then for Schremmer Realty & Auction.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin. She was active in her church and Altar Society, serving as an officer in the Altar Society, as a religion teacher, and on the parish council and helped with the local Boy Scouts Club.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years; two sons, Peter Oberle and wife, Michelle, Claflin, and Douglas Oberle and wife, Gina, Victoria; three daughters, Theresa Wilcox and husband, Earl, DeSoto, Jennifer Lamatsch and husband, Robert, Pratt, and Ellie Dozier and husband, David, Hutchinson; nine brothers, Gene Debes, Great Bend, Father Don Debes, Papua, New Guinea, Tom Debes and Frank Debes, both of Odin, Bernard Debes, Clyde, Leon Debes, Boonsboro, Md., John Debes, Hoisington, Mike Debes, Dodge City, and Kenny Debes, Hays; three sisters, Doris Feist, Louetta Feist, both of Claflin, and Patricia Feist, Austin, Minn.; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey James Oberle; her parents; and two sisters, Florence Debes and Helen Detmer.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin; burial in Claflin Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. 5 p.m. Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington.
A vigil with Altar Society rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Kansas City, the Father Don Debes OFM Cap. Mission Fund or Clara Barton Hospital Foundation, in care the funeral home.
