Gladys Northup, 90, Stockton, formerly of Webster, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at Rooks County Health Center, Plainville.
She was born May 9, 1925, in Graham County, to Samuel and Grace Iva (Hebert) Davis. She attended Webster School.
She married Ralph Northup on Oct. 4, 1942, in Stockton. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of United Methodist Church where she served as church secretary for 11 years and Sunday school teacher for over 30 years. She was a member of the Ladies Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed helping with 4-H and Girl Scouts.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, photography and spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Turnbull, Woodston, Patty Johnston and husband, Donnie, and Vicki Waller and husband, Brad, all of Stockton; eight grandchildren, Brad Turnbull, Lucas, David Turnbull and Shari Reichard and husband, Doug, all of Woodston, Mike Johnston and wife, Theresa, Topeka, Tim Johnston and wife, Kacey, Angie Johnston and fiancÚ, Joe Klinke, Brooke Waller and Drew Waller, all of Stockton; 12 great-grandchildren, Jarron Turnbull, Lucas, Gage, Hannah, Hayden Reichard and Hope, Christian and Skyler Turnbull, all of Woodston, Shayne and Braeden Johnston, Topeka, Chandler and Natalie Johnston and Jadyn Frey, all of Stockton; and two great-great-grandchildren, Daegan Hanvy, Topeka, and Adelynn Johnston, Stockton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two sisters; and a son-in-law, Ron Turnbull.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Stockton.
Friends can sign the register book from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday with family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton.
