Rick Lee Rogers
Rick Lee Rogers, 66, Johnstown, Colo., formerly of Longmont, Colo., died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at Longmont United Hospital.
He was born Nov. 9, 1948, in Hays to Harley and Joyce (Hilgers) Rogers. He was a 1966 graduate of Plainville High School.
He married Kathleen Ward on June 8, 1968, in Plainville. The family moved to Colorado in 1975. He was an accountant and office manager for the Boulder Valley Poultry Farm. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam.
He enjoyed his family, celebrating football Sunday at the house and playing cards and games. Survivors indlude his wife, Johnstown; two daughters, Jennifer Tackett and Nathon Putallaz, Milliken, Colo., and Amy Rosati and husband, Anthony, Firestone, Colo.; a sister, Pamela Suppes and husband, Terry, Loveland; a brother-in-law, Lance Anderson, Plainville; six grandchildren, Tyler, Dillon, Tanner, Ally, Nathon and Peyton; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Diane Rogers and Judith Anderson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont; burial in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Howe Mortuary, Longmont; followed by a rosary. There will be a reception after the rosary to celebrate his life and share stories and memories. Refreshments will be provided.
