Dalton Stout led the Hays Sr. Legion Eagles to a pair of victories over Junction City on Sunday at Larks Park.

The Eagles (4-2) have won their last four games and have pushed above .500 for the first time this summer.

Stout combined for eight RBI on Sunday. He plated two in a 12-1 win in the first game before plating six runs in a 16-6 win in Game 2, another run-rule.

Junction City opened the scoring in the top of the first in the opener, but the hosts regained a lead with three runs in the bottom half.

Hays blew the game open with seven runs in the second before bringing the run rule into play with two more in the third. The game ended after Junction City was kept off the board in the fourth.

Ryan Ruder tossed three innings, striking out four. The Thomas More Prep-Marian graduate added three hits on the day, while Hays High grads Cole Schumacher and Marcus Altman each plated two runs with Stout.

In Game 2, the Eagles scored four runs in each of the first two innings to take a commanding lead.

After Junction City scored five runs in the third, the Eagles answered with an eight spot in the bottom half. The game again ended after Junction City failed to score in the fourth. Brett Herrman and Altman each plated two runs, while Stout led the way with three hits and six RBI.

The Eagles return to action against Dodge City Wednesday at Larks Park.
