Douglas Kent Huscher, 69, Stockton, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, in Stockton.
He was born June 20, 1943, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Walter and Mona (Clark) Huscher.
He married Sondra McCall on Dec. 11, 1992, in Goodland.
He was a telecommunications instructor at NWKAVTS in Goodland, and also worked for Rural Telephone in Lenora in management, sales and as a communications technician.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, attaining the rank of A1C E-4.
He was a gifted artist, painter and a devoted mentor. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and rock hounding and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Stockton; a daughter, Krista; two stepdaughters, Alana Delgado, Hill City, and Laura Burton and husband, David, Stockton; and three stepgrandchildren, Axel Ginn, Makayla Burton and Holden Burton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Huscher.
Private family services will be at a later date.
Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601, is in charge of arrangements.
