Milden D. Keith, 69, WaKeeney, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at KU Medical Center after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

He was born Sept. 26, 1946, in Hays to Orval Dale “Bud” and Madeline Agnes (Tremblay) Keith.

He graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts.

He married Nancy Swank on April 4, 1970, in Osborne. He later was engaged to be married to Debbie Budig. He owned and operated Keith Dirt Construction for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his fiancé and best friend, Debbie Budig; a son, Scott A. Keith, WaKeeney; a daughter, Tammi A. Wynn, WaKeeney; four sisters, Cynthia A. Keith, Hill City, Diana Nickelson, Penokee, Marllys Stember, Wichita, and LaDonna Waites, Colby; four grandchildren and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Keith.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ogallah Christian Church; burial in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, WaKeeney, with military rites.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney.
