The Ellis County Commission will consider proposed design changes to the new EMS/rural fire building in its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Monday at the Ellis County Courthouse. If approved, the architect can move forward with the project. Initial bids for the building exceeded what the county had budgeted and were rejected.
In other business:
* Commissioners will consider a resolution endorsing the economic development tax exemption for Hays Fire & Rescue Sales and Service.
* Commissioners will discuss the renovation project at 718 Main. Bids for that project also came in above budget and were rejected.
* County counselor Bill Jeter has requested an executive session for attorney/client discussions.
