PITTSBURG — Fort Hays State track and field competed at the Pittsburg State Invitational on Friday, when Jake Morrow and Jordan Carroll both hit NCAA provisional qualifying marks.
Morrow improved upon his provisional mark in the pole vault. He cleared a height of 15 feet, 11.75 inches to finish 11th in the event, which featured Division I competition, as well as Division II. Morrow now ranks 11th on the national performance list.
Carroll jumped 47-4.25 in the triple jump to hit a provisional mark for the second time this year and secure a fourth-place finish. His best mark this season is 47-5.75. He also finished 12th in the long jump at 22-1.75 inches. Carroll currently ranks 27th on the national performance list in the triple jump.
