Lois Josephine (Beckett) Osborne, 82, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, after a brief illness.

She was born June 8, 1933, in Winslow, Ark., to Robert Alvin and Ethel (Bailey) Beckett. She was a graduate of Lassen High School and earned a bachelor of arts degree from California State University-Chico.

She married Kenneth Scott. They relocated to Hays. He preceded her in death. She later married Richard Osborne. They traveled around the world. After he preceded her in death, she relocated from Kansas to Lake Almanor. She was a school teacher in Chester. She moved from Arkansas to Susanville, where her father worked in forestry and the logging industry.

She was a member of Rainbow Girls and the Order of the Eastern Star and the Lassen High School Alumni Association. She enjoyed reconnecting with friends at the annual alumni picnic.

She enjoyed laughing, telling jokes with friends and family, and get-togethers for a reunion at the lake house.

Survivors include two brothers, Robert Beckett and Edie Wright; a sister, Anna Mae McAndrews; a daughter-in-law, Mary Scott; a granddaughter, Kari Sexton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Scott; and a brother, Steve Beckett.

Private services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 27 at Loisí home.
