Adeline Werth, 94, Schoenchen, died Monday, May 19, 2014, at Cedar View Assisted Living, Hays.
She was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Hays to Ludwig and Rose (Frank) Befort.
She was a longtime cook, having worked for 35 years at the Fanchon and 25 years at Fort Hays State University. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking for her family.
Survivors include a son, Severin Werth Jr. and wife, Marjorie, Hays; three daughters, Darlene Williams and husband, Robert, and Sharon Unrein, all of Olathe, and Patty Coker, Wright; seven grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Andrew, Alfred, Ted and Rich Befort; three sisters, Armella Gottschalk, Minnie Werth and Jenny Pfeifer; and a son-in-law, Don Coker.
Services were Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice or Cedar View Assisted Living Center.
