This weekend is the Midwest Deutsche Oktoberfest.

The two-day event will be at Rose Garden Banquet Hall, 2530 E. Eighth.

Both days will feature German cuisine. No outside food or drinks are allowed.

Saturday hours are 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a polka mass Sunday at 10:30 a.m. with Father Earl and the Catherine and Victoria Choir. Proceeds from the collection will go to the Harold Dorzweiler Cancer Memorial Fund.

Polka bands include Karl Meis, the Hot Shots, the Wes Windholz band, John Stehle and the Alpine Polka Dots.

Admission is $15 for both days, $10 Saturday only and $7 Sunday only. Children younger than 16 are admitted free.
