A Pennsylvania woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident east of Hays on Interstate 70 Friday morning.

The accident occurred approximately 3 miles east of the I-70 junction at Toulon Avenue at 11:25 a.m. The westbound vehicle entered the median, with the driver overcorrecting and losing control, according to information from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The 2008 Nissan passenger car entered the north ditch, rolled and landed on its left side facing southeast.

Catherine E. Pezely, 82, Norristown, Pa., was taken to Hays Medical Center for injuries. There were two passengers, one of whom was uninjured, and a second sustained possible injuries, according to the KHP report.
