The Thomas More Prep-Marian volleyball team went 5-0 and won the championship match at Saturday's Trego Invitational.

The Monarchs dropped their first set of the day to Stockton 24-26 but rebounded with 25-12 and 25-14 wins. TMP was perfect the rest of the day.

TMP swept Northern Valley in the second match of pool play. The Monarchs won the first set 25-18 and the second 25-22.

A 25-10, 25-14 sweep of Wallace County concluded pool play and helped the Monarchs advance to the semifinals.

Natausha Dreher's squad made quick work of Russell, winning 25-14 and 25-10 and advancing to the championship match.

In the final, TMP face tournament host, Trego. The Monarchs took the title with a 25-16 win in set one followed by a 25-19 victory in set two.
