Drs. John and Dorothy (Casto) Cody, Hays, will celebrate their 60th anniversary March 19, 2015.

She attended Duke University Medical School in North Carolina. From 1977 to 1990, she was the college physician at Fort Hays State University Student Health Center. He attended medical school at the University of Arkansas and did his psychiatric residency at Menninger's in Topeka. After a year working as a psychiatrist at Larned State Hospital, he came to Hays to be the psychiatrist and director of High Plains Mental Health Center, a position he had from 1965 until retiring in 1986. He published many medical-art and anatomy illustrative books and the biographies of Emily Dickinson and Max Brodel. He is internationally known for his moth paintings as the "Audubon of Moths."

Children of the couple are three sons, Zac, Ethan and Graham and wife, Renee; and three daughters, Loren and husband, Mark, Andrea and Rowan.

The couple were married in Little Rock, Ark.
