INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Gov. Mike Pence and Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann are selling pumpkins to fight hunger.

Pence, Ellspermann and members of Pence's cabinet will help with the sale of pumpkin, cookies and apple cider Tuesday on south lawn of the Statehouse to benefit the Midwest Food Bank.

The pumpkins have been donated by Tragesser Pumpkin Farms of Atlanta, Ind.

The event called the Governor's Great Pumpkin Patch pumpkin patch is part of the 2013-2014 State Employees' Community Campaign administered by state employees. Over the past 35 years, state employees have contributed more than $25 million to charities of their choice.
