Early voting on the $94 million bond issue and half-cent city sales tax for qualified voters in USD 489 began May 19.
A total of 649 had voted in the Ellis County Clerk’s Office, and 248 mail ballots were sent out by Friday afternoon, Ellis County Clerk Donna Maskus said.
There are a total of 14,788 qualified voters in the school district, she said.
The election is June 7, and advance voting will continue until noon on June 6, Maskus said.
Voters can go to the clerk’s office in the Ellis County Administrative Center, 718 Main, during business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., to vote. They must have a voter ID.
