James Robben, 62, Victoria, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015, in Hays.

He was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Hays to Wilfred and Viola (Hammerschmidt) Robben.

He married Jane Dreiling on Oct. 29, 1977. She preceded him in death Nov. 24, 2008. He worked as a skilled trades technician at the power plant at Fort Hays State University.

He had a strong passion for animals, especially dogs.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Vestal and husband, Brandon, Los Angeles, and Jamie Robben, Denver; his mother, Walker; three brothers, Leroy Robben and wife, Karen, and Melvin Robben and wife, Patty, all of Salina, and Norman Robben and wife, Linda, Walker; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Walker.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
