Gary Edward Hurlbut, 70, Sylvan Grove, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Lincoln Park Manor, Lincoln.
He was born Feb. 19, 1944, in Gainesville, Texas, to Dale and Leota (Allison) Hurlbut. He was a 1962 graduate of Sylvan Grove High School and attended a year at Fort Hays State University.
He married Nancy Williams on Oct. 22, 1965, in Lincoln. He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran, serving for four years.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, of the home; a son, Troy Hurlbut, Bunker Hill; two daughters, Shelley Price, Russell, and Angela Edmundson, Sylvan Grove; his mother, Sylvan Grove; two brothers, Ronnie Hurlbut, Sylvan Grove, and Darrell Hurlbut, Macks Creek, Mo.; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Presbyterian Church, Sylvan Grove; burial in Sylvan Grove City Cemetery with military rites.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
