Janice Marie (Richmeier) Nusser, 57, St. John, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.

She was born June 23, 1959, in Hoxie to E. J. (Elmer) and Mary Jean (Aich) Richmeier. She was a 1977 graduate of St. John High School and attended Sydney Hairdressing College.

She married Phillip E. Nusser on Nov. 19, 1977, in St. John. She was a medical receptionist for the Stafford County Health Department, St. John.

She was a member of St. John The Apostle Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jeremy W. Nusser, Wichita, and Justin L. Nusser, Stafford; both parents, Shell Knob, Mo.; a brother, Glenn Richmeier and wife, Jennifer, Tampa Bay, Fla.; and two sisters, Brenda Rose and fiancée, Danny Spain, Edwards, Mo., and Lisa Bascuea and husband, Brad, Olathe; a brother-in-law, Kelly Nusser and wife, Beth, Lyons; a sister-in-law, Lori Nusser, St. John; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Lee and Fred Joseph Richmeier.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, St. John.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, in care of Minnis Chapel, St. John.
