Delores LaDene Bisterfeldt, 90, La Crosse, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in La Crosse to Fred and Elva (Irvin) Krause. She was a resident of Rush and Ellis counties. She was a 1942 graduate of La Crosse High School and completed her nurse's training in Kansas City, Kan.

She was a homemaker and a nurse for Dr. J.H. Baker for many years.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church ALCW, both of La Crosse, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Sunflower Polka Club, Hays, and a Senior Companion for 20-plus years.

Survivors include a son, Richard Bisterfeldt, Denver; two daughters, Melanie Schaffer, Mountain Home, Ark., and Jann Bisterfeldt-Suchan, Anaheim Hills, Calif.; a sister, Twilla Grumbein, Alexander; her former husband, Leland Bisterfeldt, La Crosse; four grandchildren, Nathan Schaffer, Nicole Bisterfeldt-Rainey, Krista Schaffer-Stopka and Danielle Bisterfeldt; and four great-grandchildren, Ashlee Papineau, Madilynn Rainey, Amberly Schaffer and Miranda Stopka.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, La Crosse; burial in La Crosse City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.

Memorials are suggested to VFW Ladies Auxiliary or Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
