Is it possible to skip Christmas?

When I saw the topic for this month’s “ONE,”I knew right away which movie I wanted to write about. I’m all about a good Christmas movie, but I’m even more about a hilarious comedy. Our family rule has always been to read a book before watching something in movie-form.That being said, my chosen movie is “Christmas with the Kranks,” based on the John Grisham novel, “Skipping Christmas.”

The most wonderful time of the year

Dear Readers, My phone went nutty the other night, simultaneously pinging with ads for holiday sales and “Breaking News” alerts on how to avoid the stress of the upcoming gift-giving season. Like I needed any reminders—whether one celebrates Christmas (or Hannukah or Kwanza) or not, it’s difficult to claim one doesn’t know, it’s THAT time of the year. And at the precise moment my phone began chiming furiously, I was in fact trying to figure out what presents I’m going to get for the folks on my list and I can’t honestly tell you I minded the interruption.

HaysMed Opens Pain Center

HaysMed has recently opened a Pain Center. Dr. Keith Green, Anesthesiologist will be providing services in a clinic located at 2500 Canterbury, Suite 206. While Green has been providing pain management for over 25 years in the hospital setting this will be the first time that a dedicated clinic area will be utilized.
