“Kansas Attorneys for Mann” Launched to Focus on Fact Kris Kobach is a Bad Attorney, and Therefore Not Qualified to Serve as Top Attorney in the State

“A bad attorney should not be the top attorney in Kansas.” That’s the simple message that was communicated today during a news conference in Topeka where the formation of a new Kansas attorney group supporting Kansas Attorney General candidate Chris Mann was announced. “Kansas Attorneys for Mann” boasts nearly 150 attorneys from all over the state, including Republicans, Independents and Democrats.

As Fire Prevention Week™ approaches, the Ellis County Fire Department reminds residents that “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.™” The Ellis County Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)—to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week™ (FPW), October 9-15, 2022. This year’s FPW campaign, “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape™”, works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe from home fires.

Kansas junior livestock show celebrates 90 years

The Kansas Junior Livestock Show (KJLS) got its start in November 1933, drawing 500 exhibitors and more than 1,000 head of livestock to the Wichita Forum. Since then, the 90-year-old event has stayed true to its heritage by continuing to be the largest youth livestock show in the state. This year, more than 700 exhibitors entered 1,422 animals in the show, which was held September 30 – October 2 in Hutchinson.
