Sixty-five race teams checked into the legendary RPM Speedway in Hays, on Saturday Night, to kick off the 2025 regular season. Visiting victory lane were Zach Olmstead in the hobby stock, Tathan Burkhart in the stock car, Tyler Watts in the sport mod, Dave Kappel in the sport compact and Daniel Gottschalk in the modified.
The City of Hays current fireworks policy is that if weather conditions are favorable, fireworks may be sold and used by the public only on July 2nd, 3rd and 4th between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.

On May 8, 2025, the Hays City Commission unanimously approved Resolution No. 2025-004 allowing for the abatement and possible demolition of the structure located on the property at 3404 Vine Street (known as the Rodeway Inn Motel) ten days following the Resolution approval date.
