4H year to start in October

The 4-H new year is right around the corner! This is the perfect time to get youth involved in any and all 4-H projects from foods and photography, to welding and livestock. The start of the new 4-H year is October 1, which is when enrollment opens. Youth ages 7 - 18 years (as of January 1 of the current year) from across the county can participate in 4-H. Youth ages 5 and 6 (as of January 1 of the current year) can participate in Cloverbuds, a program that allows children to explore 4-H projects in a non-competitive way. 4-H uses research- based project information to empower youth to do things they’ve never done before in a creative and confident way. Best of all, you can choose your level of participation – as much or as little as you have time for. 4-H teaches youth to analyze information, make decisions, communicate effectively, prepare for careers, serve their communities and plan for healthy lifestyles - all while having fun. So, go ahead, get involved in 4-H - and have some fun!

Are there some things that we realize we don’t need at all? 4-H is about experiential learning and sometimes that learning includes how to balance.
