Faculty awards presented at Fall convocation

The Faculty Member of the Year award was presented to Dr. C.D. Clark, associate professor of physics. Commerce Bank provided a $1,000 stipend for Dr. Clark in recognition of this honor. Dr. Clark has provided exemplary service to the department, college, and university by serving on the university promotion, general education, and commencement committees. He has researched, developed, and shared techniques for effectively delivering a high-quality educational experience for FHSU online learners.

Frontier Apartments Project to Begin Construction Work

Frontier Apartments Project to Begin Construction Work The Frontier Apartments Project, located inside the historic St. Joseph’s School building in downtown Hays, Kansas will begin construction the week of August 15, 2022. The finished product will feature 12 apartments with a beautiful blend of classic and contemporary interior finishes, an elevator to all three levels, premium kitchen cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and private laundry facilities in each unit. Frontier Apartments will offer the finest rental units in the Hays market with leases beginning in the summer of 2023. The building will include five one-bedroom units (~750 sf), five two-bedroom units (~940 sf), one one-bedroom +study unit (~825 sf), and one two-bedroom +study unit (~975 sf).
